stakeholders

Radio Henvalvani is a community radio station which provides an opportunity for all sections of our local community to participate in programme production. It creates a link between the community and the local government and enhance transparency while working towards including key community issues in the content and programmes broadcast on the station.

impact

  1. Preserved ecological and cultural knowledge: Documented disappearing traditional food practices, forest relationships, and farming systems rooted in community knowledge

  2. Made invisible systems visible: Revealed how development, policy, invasive crops, and migration disrupt ecological and social systems

  3. Enabled narrative-driven systems awareness: Used visual storytelling and ethnographic documentation to communicate complex systemic change accessibly

  4. Created an advocacy and storytelling artefact: Established a publication format that can support dialogue across design, policy, and sustainability contexts

  5. Strengthened community-centred research practice: Positioned lived experience and local knowledge as central to understanding systemic ecological change
